Cinderella
Eugene Ballet Company presents "Cinderella" October 10, 2010 at 3 p.m.
This enchanting fairy tale follows Cinderella's journey from servant to princess in a timeless story cherished by adults and children alike. Cinderella evokes humor with the antics of the ugly step-sisters, romance at Prince Charming's ball, and sparkles with brilliance in the magical fairy scenes set to Prokofiev's lush and inviting musical score.
Symphony members Carol Robe and Mike Curtis founded the Cascadia Clarinet Quartet three years ago to highlight the many capabilities of the clarinet—from dixieland and klezmer to Brazilian samba and classical. Other members of the quartet are Fred Berman and Theresa Schumacher.
The Left Coast Saxophone Quartet members Mike Curtis, Annalisa Morton, Jon Neher and Rich Berg, pool their talents to play everything from ragtime to baroque, classical to klezmer, not to mention Latin and jazz. Local audiences will recognize these expert musicians from the Eugene Symphony, the Oregon Mozart Players, the Swingin’ Marmalukeys, and more. But, the group says, “you’ve never heard us like this!”
